    Some say that if the Avett Brothers had a wild little sister fronting the band, they'd be a lot like the Patti Fiasco. With their roots planted in folk, their Wyoming heritage inspiring an inevitable (and endearing) twang, the Patti Fiasco still wears the pants (or skirt, in Alysia's case) of a rock and roll outfit. They write songs with classic structures in mind-- channeling legends like Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty-- and put forth songs with just enough twang, pop sensibility, lyric savvy, and old school charm to bend genres and attract listeners from all sides of the musical spectrum. Aside from composing songs that flat-out sound good (think strong female vocals, groove-driving guitar, a rhythm section as tasteful as it is tactful, and the edgy wail of an electric dobro rounding off the sound), the Patti Fiasco puts forth with music with rare emotional sincerity and delivers it with charisma, intensity, and contagious joy. Now happily situated amidst the thriving Fort Collins, CO, music scene, the Patti Fiasco is enjoying momentum going into the release of their first full-length studio album (set for release this summer).
